If you cross the ricefield at the village Niafourang, you will find our small guesthouse, just a few hundred meters from the sea. Tin Ting is the name, meaning “the house on the hill”. We will be happy to receive you for as long as you want to stay. We – are Hilde Huus-Hansen and Michel Demba.

Prices

For 22 euro you get a big, nice room and three meals. Lots of fresh fruit and vegetables,  rice and fish or meat is on our menu. You can also taste local specialities like baobab juice, bissap and attaya.

You may  want to spend the day in a hammock, enjoying the surroundings, the big trees and the sounds from the bush. This is the perfect place for relaxing!   Or you can take walks along the beach. If you like to collect shells, you will be happy here.

If you like to walk you can visit different villages along the coast.  One hours walk will take you to the village Abènè, two and a half hours away is the small city Kafountine. We will be happy to arrange trips and excursions to the mangroves or to good places for birdwatching.  P1010040 Hjem etter spennende båttur i mangroveskogen

You can easily find presents for people back home – colourful batik, woodcraft, drums and very nice pottery! The beach is often enough for one days program. After a few hours in the sun, a cold beer at our neighbour Ousmans airy pub may be just what you need before lunch.

At Christmas you can enjoy a weeklong festival in Abènè, with musicians from all over West Africa.
